5 Days Of Indian Royalty For Kate Middleton And Prince William

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge landed in Mumbai on April 10th where they began their Royal tour of India and Bhutan, that ends on April 16th, to be back in time for the Queen’s 90th birthday celebration on April 21st. Preparations are underway to ensure Kate and William have a memorable stay in India as they leave behind Prince George and Princess Charlotte in the hands of their Royal caretakers. Their international Spring trip comes after their previous tours of Canada and USA in 2011, the Far East in 2012 and Australia and New Zealand in 2014. It’s just been a day since they have arrived in India and we are already love struck with how amazing these two are!

Here are how the 5 days of Indian Royalty look for Kate and Williams:

1. Day 1 – April 10th:

After landing in Mumbai, they arrived at Taj Palace Hotel where they paid tribute to the victims of the 26/11 terror attacks and also met the staff of the hotel who braved the terrorists, along with some of the survivors.

The couple later went over to Oval Maidan where they very sportingly played a cricket match between beneficiaries and representatives of 3 Mumbai based NGOs namely Magic Bus, Doorstep and India’s Childline.

Later at night they hosted a Bollywood-inspired grand charity ball at the Taj where they exchanged pleasantries with Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Anil Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and not to forget the cricket legend, Sachin Tendulkar.

2. Day 2 – April 11th:

They begin their day by meeting young entrepreneurs at an event to promote Britain in Mumbai after which they will fly to Delhi. In Delhi, they are slated to visit the India

Gate to place a wreath on the war memorial and later they will visit Gandhi Smriti to learn about Gandhian principles and honor the memory of Mahatma Gandhi. In the evening they are to attend a party being held at the residence of the British High Commissioner, to celebrate The Queen’s birthday.

3. Day 3 – April 12th:

With two engagements planned, there’s no confirmed news on what their day is going to entail. However, the couple is said to be flying to Kaziranga in Assam on the same day to meet the local people and witness some dance and music performances being specially organized for them.




4. Day 4 – April 13th:

Taking a break from their hectic schedule, the couple will ride around the Kaziranga National Park in an open-air jeep and meet with park rangers to discuss how they protect the Rhino population from poachers considering the demand for rising rhino horns in Asia. They will proceed to visit the Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation to watch animals like elephants, rhinos and bears. They are also said to visit Kaziranga Discovery Centre which was built by the charity founded by Mark Shand, the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla’s, late brother.

5. Day 5 – April 16th:

Kate and William will fly into Delhi after a two-day visit of Bhutan where they will be welcomed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Pranab Mukherjee and attend a royal lunch that’s being organised in their honor. Post that they will visit the Taj Mahal, which was last visited by Prince William’s late mother Princess Diana almost 24 years ago.

“Twenty four years on from her visit to the Taj, The Duke and The Duchess are looking forward to seeing this beautiful place for themselves and creating some new memories as they say thank you to the people of India at the conclusion of their tour”, a release said.

They will then fly out of Delhi and head back to the United Kingdom.
