Pokémon Go which was first released in the US, Australia and New Zealand, is now available in more than 30 countries and is the latest trend in every town. This widely popular location-based augmented reality game has created quite a rage world over! There have been reports of bizarre incidents of people looking for a Pokémon in the weirdest of places, be it a cemetery or a military base.
Here are 5 of our favorite incidents we just couldn’t get over:
1. The Woman Who Got Stuck In A Tree
911 definitely didn’t receive one of these calls before!
A woman in New Jersey got stuck in a tree inside a cemetery while playing Pokémon Go and had to be rescued by firefighters. The woman says that she was trying to catch Pokémon in a cemetery in Clarksboro when she ended up stuck in a tree and had to call emergency number 911 to rescue her.

2. A Bangalore-based Company Just Made This A Profession
Bizzare is not even the word for this one!
A global sensation for other might just turn into a full-time legitimate profession for some lucky ones!
Babajob, an online livelihood marketplace advertised for a new job in a new category ‘The Pokémon Catcher’ with applicants who are required to have a great knowledge of the Pokémon database. Apart from other popular job categories like drivers, house helps and delivery boys, the portal, which has about 7 million users, is now offering an opportunity for fans to become an official Pokémon Catcher.

3. Stampede At Central Park
After a rare Pokémon breed named Vaporeon made an appearance at New York’s Central Park, a stampede broke out because of this augmented reality game. The video below captured a crowd of players rushing toward Central Park to capture the highly sought-after Pokémon. Players were also seen jumping out of their vehicles to catch the rare creature.

4. Boy Caught Cheating On Girlfriend At Ex’s House
You can’t escape cheating with this one! Poor thing!
“She saw that I had caught a Pokémon while at my ex’s house,” Scribner said. This time it is responsible for a heartbreak!
Due to the game’s GPS tracking mechanism, it is possible to see the characters in your immediate surroundings and record the places where they are caught. Evan Scribner clearly underestimated the game’s GPS capabilities when he decided to open Pokémon Go and start playing it while at his ex-girlfriend’s house in Brooklyn.

5. Chennai Seems To Be Leading The Race
In Anna Nagar Tower Park was spotted Blastoise and what happened next will leave you shocked! – Yeah, exactly this! The video below shared by a local, Vignesh Pillai shows how people running are around in city’s Anna Nagar Tower Park, trying to locate Blastoise. However by the time they all got there, looks like Blastoise ran away, leaving all of them disappointed!
Age is certainly no barrier for this game!
