It’s no surprise that Leonardo DiCaprio has made it to the Oscar nominations once again. The Revenant has earned him his sixth nomination (fifth as an actor) at the Oscars.
To play his role as a fur trapper in The Revenant, DiCaprio endured subzero temperatures, sat in makeup for five hours to get 47 different prosthetics, shot an intricate stunt sequence involving a bear attack during a torrential rainstorm, ate raw bison liver and lived with a long, scraggly beard for a year and a half.  And all of this, we hope earns him his first Oscar tonight!
Here are five times when Leonardo DiCaprio should have won an Oscar-
1. What’s Eating Gilbert Grape – Best Supporting ActorÂ
The 41-year-old actor received his first nomination for Best Supporting Actor at age 22 for “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape”, but ended up losing out to Tommy Lee Jones who took home the award that night for “The Fugitive.”
2. The Aviator –Â Best Actor
In 2005 DiCaprio earned a Best Actor nomination for ‘The Aviator’. However, the award went to Jamie Foxx for “Ray.”
3. Blood Diamond – Best Actor
In 2007, he was nominated for Best Actor for his role as a Rhodesian (with that perfect accent) diamond smuggler in “Blood Diamond.” But it was Forest Whitaker, who portrayed Idi Amin in “The Last King of Scotland,” who took home the award.
4. Â The Wolf Of Wall Street – Best Actor
DiCaprio’s performance as Jordan Belfort was far better than Oscar winning Matthew McConaughey’s in Dallas Buyer’s Club.
5. The Wolf Of Wall Street – Best Picture
He also lost out on a Best Picture nomination as ’12 Years A Slave’ walked away with the award in 2014.

With each loss, looks like Dicaprio’s roles get more adventurous! Wouldn’t you agree?
